Welcome everyone!
On behalf of the Planning Committee, I am honoured to be able to welcome you all to the 2023 Poultry Service Industry Workshop in beautiful Banff, Alberta. We are excited to share knowledge and network with everyone throughout the workshop.
Following tradition, the East and West veterinary disease updates will summarize the poultry diseases challenging the Canadian industry. The succeeding technical presentations cover a variety of topics including consumer trends, chick quality, poultry vaccine delivery, layer house transition as well as global possibilities and pitfalls of an Avian Influenza vaccine. Additionally, three Canadian graduate students will introduce their research projects and discuss likely industry implications. Finally, PSIW will acknowledge the dedication and contributions from two of our colleagues by presenting the Lifetime Achievement and Poultry Service Industry Awards.
The Planning Committee has truly put together an outstanding roster of speakers from across Canada and the globe to provide practical experience that our attendees can apply in their day-to-day work.
I want to extend my thanks to the dedication of the Planning Committee and Kate Kelly from ConventionALL Management that have put in the time to make this event happen. I would also like to thank the speakers on behalf of the planning committee.
